New Charlie D novel in September 2011
The Shadow Killer, the third Charlie D novel in Orca Book Publisher’s Rapid Reads series, will be released on September 1, 2011. Rapid Reads are intended for a diverse audience, including ESL students, reluctant readers, adults who struggle with literacy and anyone who wants a high-interest quick read. The other two Charlie D novels are Love You to Death and One Fine Day You’re Gonna Die.
New Joanne Kilbourn novel in April 2012

Kaleidoscope, the thirteen book in the Joanne Kilbourn series, will be published by McClelland & Stewart in April 2012.
Joanne Kilbourn series paperback reprints
McClelland & Stewart has reprinted all twelve of the Joanne Kilbourn novels to date in a new trade paperback line, featuring a striking, unified cover design. Look for them where paperbacks are sold!

On June 4, 2009, Gail will receive the Crime Writers of Canada Derrick Murdock Award in recognition of her contributions to Canadian crime writing.
